USDT TRC20, ERC20 or BEP20: Which Network Fits Your Transfer?

USDT TRC20, ERC20 and BEP20 use different networks and fee assets. Compare the cost of sending, wallet compatibility and hryvnia offers before choosing a route.

If you hold USDT TRC20, ERC20 or BEP20 in your own wallet, start with its current network and check that the recipient accepts it. For a hryvnia payout, compare the cost of sending with the amount you will receive.

USDT (Tether) is a stablecoin designed to track one US dollar. Its tokens exist on separate blockchains, and a balance on one network does not appear on another. Changing the network displayed in your wallet does not move existing tokens between blockchains.

OnExchanger is an exchanger monitor: it compares offers and directs you to the chosen exchanger. It does not hold your funds or carry out the conversion; the exchanger receives the USDT and handles the payout.

How do USDT TRC20, ERC20 and BEP20 differ?

USDT TRC20 uses the TRC20 token standard for TRON; ERC20 is the standard for Ethereum, and BEP20 for BNB Smart Chain (BSC). Compare the address format and fee requirements together: the address alone does not always identify the network.

USDT TRC20, ERC20 and BEP20: addresses, fee assets and transfer risks
NetworkAddress formatWhat pays the feeTypical fee levelMain risk
USDT TRC20 — TRONStarts with TTRX, or TRON energy and bandwidth resourcesUsually lower than EthereumHaving USDT without TRX or the resources needed to send
USDT ERC20 — EthereumStarts with 0xETHUsually higher than TRON or BNB Smart ChainMistaking a BSC address for an Ethereum destination
USDT BEP20 — BNB Smart ChainStarts with 0x, just like EthereumBNBUsually lowMistaking an Ethereum address for a BSC destination

These are typical fee levels, not a quote for your transfer. Check the actual sending cost before choosing an offer.

Who charges the fee for sending USDT TRC20 or ERC20?

To send USDT TRC20 from your own wallet, you need TRX or TRON resources; a centralized exchange charges a withdrawal fee in USDT. Check the fee that applies to the way you are sending.

Holding enough USDT does not necessarily mean your wallet can send it. Check the payment requirements for its network before confirming a transfer.

  • For USDT TRC20, you need TRX or the required TRON energy and bandwidth resources.
  • For USDT ERC20, gas is paid in ETH and changes with Ethereum network load.
  • For USDT BEP20, the network fee is paid in BNB.

When withdrawing from a centralized exchange such as Binance or WhiteBIT, select the network in its withdrawal form and check the USDT fee shown there. That fee differs by network. Use the amount that will reach the exchanger when comparing the resulting hryvnia payout.

Should I choose USDT TRC20, ERC20 or BEP20 for a hryvnia payout?

Choose the route that fits your existing balance, sending costs and payout method. A lower network fee alone does not establish which offer leaves you with more hryvnia.

Work through these checks before creating an order so that the comparison includes both sending costs and the payout.

  1. Identify where your USDT is now. Moving it to another network adds a fee and takes time.
  2. Check the sending cost in your wallet or the withdrawal fee on your centralized exchange.
  3. Compare the quoted UAH payout on the relevant pair page. The same exchanger can quote different rates for different USDT networks.
  4. Confirm that the exchanger supports your chosen network and payout method, with suitable limits and reserve.

OnExchanger lists the widest choice of hryvnia payout routes for USDT TRC20 and the fewest for USDT BEP20. Open the page matching both your network and your intended payout.

Each pair page contains the live offers table. Compare the quoted payout alongside the rate, limits and available reserve.

Can USDT ERC20 and BEP20 use the same address?

Yes. Ethereum and BNB Smart Chain addresses both start with 0x, and the same address can exist on both networks. The address format cannot tell you which network an order requires.

ERC20 and BEP20 are the most common wrong-network mix-up. USDT TRC20 addresses look different, so wallets usually reject an ERC20/TRC20 mismatch, but that safeguard is not universal.

A payment sent through a different network from the one specified in the exchanger's order will not be credited; recovery depends on the recipient and may be unavailable or come with a fee.

The network must match in the order, the sending wallet and any withdrawal form. Check that your wallet supports the required network before sending: Trust Wallet supports TRON, Ethereum and BNB Smart Chain, while TronLink is a TRON wallet.

OnExchanger never asks for your seed phrase, and no legitimate service will ask you to share it.

How can I move USDT ERC20 to USDT TRC20 or BEP20?

You can convert USDT ERC20 to USDT TRC20 or BEP20 through an exchanger, or deposit on one network at a centralized exchange and withdraw on another that it supports.

For an exchanger route, choose a pair that names the network you are sending and the one you want to receive. These pair pages provide the relevant offers.

Before switching solely for a hryvnia payout, compare that extra step with selling directly from your current network.

How long does an exchanger take to credit USDT TRC20?

Crediting depends on the network confirmations required by the exchanger, so the USDT TRC20 label alone does not establish a waiting time.

The network and the exchanger both affect the wait. If an offer uses manual processing, the operator also affects when the order is handled. Check the chosen offer's processing conditions before sending, including when considering ERC20 or BEP20 as alternatives.

What else should I check about USDT TRC20, ERC20 and BEP20?

Check the meaning of the network label and your wallet's support for it. Similar names and addresses do not make tokens interchangeable between networks.

Does TRK20 mean USDT TRC20?

Yes. TRK20 is a spelling of TRC20, the TRON token standard. USDT-TRC20, USDT TRC 20 and USDT TRC-20 also refer to USDT TRC20.

Can I send USDT ERC20 without ETH?

Not from your own Ethereum wallet: its network fee is paid in ETH. A centralized exchange instead charges you its withdrawal fee in USDT.

Is USDT BEP20 issued directly by Tether?

No. USDT on BNB Smart Chain is a Binance-Peg token issued by Binance and backed by USDT. BscScan displays it as “Binance-Peg BSC-USD.”

Which wallet supports USDT BEP20?

Trust Wallet supports BNB Smart Chain, the network required for USDT BEP20. In a compatible wallet with a 0x address, select or add BNB Smart Chain before using BEP20.

USDC is a different stablecoin, but choosing a USDC wallet involves the same network check: it must support the network used for the transfer.

Why can't I see my USDT TRC20 after switching wallet networks?

USDT TRC20 is on TRON and will not appear as an Ethereum balance. Select the network holding your tokens; changing the displayed network does not transfer them.
